In Difficult Times, Public Safety Association Protects Its Membership

911MEDIA creates timely website, www.SaveOurMarshals.com, to assist Las Vegas Police Protective Association in meeting its greatest membership needs as budget woes and layoffs loom.

Burbank, California, February 12, 2010 — When public safety associations are faced with threats to their memberships, they can count on 911MEDIA to help them deploy strategic communications. The marketing firm was recently selected by the Las Vegas Police Protective Association (LVPPA) to create www.SaveOurMarshals.com. The website is devoted to rallying public support for the city of Las Vegas’ marshals, who face dramatic force reductions due to the city’s projected $400 million deficit over the next five years.

Recognizing the need for the help of a seasoned marketing firm to take action to protect its membership, the LVPPA quickly turned to 911MEDIA, which publishes the LVPPA’s popular magazine, Vegas Beat, and has an impressive portfolio of websites for both public safety associations and commercial clients. In roughly one week, 911MEDIA, working closely with the association, designed, built, programmed, and tested the site.

The new website features information about City Marshals’ vital contributions to public safety. Visitors are also able to sign an online petition to save the marshals and access Mayor Oscar Goodman’s and city council members’ email addresses. In addition, links to the Las Vegas Sun and Las Vegas Review-Journal newspapers allow visitors to the site to send letters to the respective editors.

“Our role as a marketing partner to public safety associations demands that we find timely solutions to the most pressing membership needs,” said 911MEDIA President/CEO Mark Deitch. “Whether that involves building a website, creating a direct-mail print piece, or developing other attention-getting marketing tools, we are prepared to help our clients communicate quickly and effectively.”
