California Fraternal Order of Police Taps 911MEDIA to Publish the California Police Journal

Burbank, California, February 15, 2008 — Continuing its history as the communications partner for public safety groups, custom publisher and marketing and design agency 911MEDIA was recently selected by the California Fraternal Order of Police (CAFOP) to publish the California Police Journal, a new quarterly publication. Founded in 1977, the CAFOP is the California State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, an organization of more than 325,000 active and retired sworn law enforcement officers. The CAFOP comprises 18 local lodges throughout the state and offers a host of benefits to its members, including financial remuneration for the families of officers killed in the line of duty, scholarships and grants, training assistance programs, legal assistance and other forms of support.

With the launch of the California Police Journal, the CAFOP will be able to reach its entire membership of 8,500 California law enforcement officers with articles about legal and legislative issues, charity events, benefits and wage issues, news from local chapters, updates on the national FOP biennial conference and more. Led by President Roger Mayberry, the CAFOP will use the publication to unify its members and maintain consistent, visible leadership. To assist the CAFOP, the 911MEDIA team will be in charge of the design, editorial organization, advertising sales and production, as well as coordinate delivery of the California Police Journal.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the CAFOP to enhance its readership and serve its members,” said 911MEDIA President Mark Deitch. “As the State Lodge is an important resource for California law enforcement officers and their families, we want to help them create the best possible communications tool.”
