911MEDIA Selected as Finalist for Website Redesign in MIN’s Best of the Web & Digital Awards
Burbank, California, April 20, 2015 — 911MEDIA is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in MIN’s highly competitive Best of the Web & Digital Awards website redesign category. Sites are judged on the before and after designs, and how the new design is meeting stated goals. MIN awards are considered the industry’s top honor for outstanding social media, Web and mobile achievements among consumer and business-to-business magazines, and winners will be announced at a special awards breakfast on May 11 in New York City.
“Like the proverbial shoemaker’s child who goes without shoes, we have been so focused on taking care of our clients’ needs that our own website updates got repeatedly pushed down on the priority list,” says 911MEDIA President Mark Deitch. “Last year, we committed to making this very necessary redesign a reality, and the result is a dramatically reimagined site commensurate with the high level of quality we bring to our clients’ projects every day.”
The new 911MEDIA website was launched in November 2014 with bold graphics and concise copy to engage its audience and meet users’ needs more effectively — while still expressing 911MEDIA’s identity as a leader in custom publishing, digital design and strategic communications. Among other updates, the website includes mobile-enabled responsive design, providing an optimal experience across a range of devices; streamlined navigation to enhance usability; and a dynamic, filterable portfolio showing a wide variety of work samples.
“The main objective of the redesign was to create a website that doesn’t simply tell people about what 911MEDIA can do, but also provides an interactive showcase of our capabilities,” says Deitch.
The website additionally serves as a resource for existing and potential clients by offering helpful tips about best practices, tools and solutions for any organization. The team’s editorial and content development capabilities will be further highlighted when the 911MEDIA blog launches later this month, to be followed by case studies providing an in-depth look at how 911MEDIA has helped specific clients succeed.
To be selected as a finalist among such heavy hitters as Condé Nast Traveler and Sports Illustrated for the website redesign award is a tremendous accomplishment and testament to 911MEDIA’s highly collaborative approach to projects, says Deitch. “Each department participated in the process of defining the redesign strategy to determine the shape, look, feel, messaging and content of the site. Our new website functions as an example of our team’s talent, and we are confident sharing it as a representation of our best work.”
