911MEDIA Named New Publisher for the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association’s Publication Revitalization
Burbank, California, March 1, 2013 — President/publisher Mark Deitch announced that the company has signed a contract with the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA). 911MEDIA will revamp the association’s eight-page newsletter, The RECAP, into an advertiser-supported bimonthly magazine beginning with the March/April 2013 issue. In concert with the magazine’s transformation, the PLEA’s website (www.azplea.com) will also be redesigned and reorganized and will feature a new members-only area upon its relaunch in the second quarter of 2013.
“Since 1975, the PLEA has represented officers of the Phoenix, Ariz., Police Department with professionalism,” says PLEA President Joe Clure. “I am confident that under the direction of 911MEDIA our nearly 3,000 members and our external stakeholders will begin to see the association’s competency and experience reflected in our communications.”
Adds Deitch, “Law enforcement associations face an ongoing battle to protect their members. By improving the appearance and efficacy of its publication and Website, PLEA has adopted a smart tactic for keeping its overall communications strategy relevant while also taking steps to reduce the cost of production through the introduction of paid advertising. 911MEDIA looks forward to partnering with the PLEA to ensure that the association and its members are well-represented.”
